Learn to Row

Learn the fundamentals of rowing in a single scull - launching/landing, maneuvering, blade work, and balance!

For individuals 16+ new to rowing (or sweepers new to sculling) interested in learning a new sport on Hingham Harbor. Must be a proficient swimmer.

Are you looking to learn a new sport? Interested in getting out on the water this summer? We will teach you the fundamentals of rowing a single scull - the boat, the oars, how to maneuver safely and effectively, how to launch and land. Small classes with high coach-to-athlete ratio ensure a safe and positive rowing experience to prepare you for the next level, our Coastal Quads class or perhaps rowing your own single. On days when it's too rough for rowing, we will continue instruction on the rowing machines and on paddle boards to work on small craft maneuvering and enjoy the waves.
