Would you like to be paid to spend your summer teaching sailing on the beautiful Hingham Harbor? HMC is seeking out experienced, college-aged (and above) instructors, but we encourage all interested applicants to apply.

All Staff

All staff are required to:

  • Be at least 16 years of age in order to be considered for employment*

  • Hold a valid CPR/AED and First Aid Certificate

  • Massachusetts Boating Safety Certificate

  • Current Resume

Sailing Instructors

Sailing Instructors are expected to have:

  • US Sailing Small Boat Level 1 Certificate

  • Sailing Experience

Rowing Instructors

Rowing Instructors are expected to have:

  • US Rowing Level 1 Certificate

  • Rowing Experience

Paddleboarding Instructors

Paddleboarding Instructors are expected to have: 

  • PSUPA Flat Water Level 1 Certificate

  • Stand Up Paddleboarding Experience

Little Mariners Instructors

Little Mariners Instructors are expected to have: 

  • Background in Marine Sciences

  • Experience with Kindergarten aged children

HMC pays competitive, hourly rates. Additional experience & qualifications, such as Certified Lifeguard, may result in additional compensation.

*Instructor-in-Training opportunities are available for qualified applicants under 16 years of age. Staff under 18 years of age are required to have a valid Employment Permit.
