Director of Sailing: Todd “TC” Cunningham
Our sailing programs are led by an experienced coaching team, under the direction of Todd “TC” Cunningham. A professional sailor and coach with more than 20 years in the marine industry, TC is an ASA Certified Instructor and RYA Senior Instructor, bringing deep experience as a sailmaker and competitive yacht racer. He is known for his approachable teaching style and passion for helping sailors of all ages build confidence and skill on the water.
Adult Sail: The Basics
Learn to sail or brush up on existing skills. Solidify the basics: boat handling, basic navigation, weather, and safety.
For beginner sailors or those looking to brush up on their skills.
Feeling like you’ve been cooped up for too long? Feeling a pull to get out on the water? Well, summer is here and so is Adult Sailing at HMC! Join our small group classes and get ready to to practice small boat handling, basic navigation, weather, and safety. Participants will have the opportunity to sail single-handedly and in two-person boats! Sorry, we can’t promise you won’t get wet!

Adult Sail: Intermediate
Elevate your sailing skills and gain confidence while maximizing your time on the water.
For adult sailors who have mastered basic sailing skills and are hungry for more.
Ready to take your sailing to the next level? Feel confident with the basics? If you’re looking to refine your sailing and advance your skills, this is the class for you! Advance your boat handling skills while focusing on navigation, sail trim, and speed.

Participants should be comfortable handling a sailboat in moderate conditions and have a basic understanding of sailing terms and maneuvers.
Adult Sail: Race
Elevate your racing skills and build confidence while maximizing your performance and time on the water.
For adult sailors who have mastered basic sailing skills and are hungry for more.
Comfortable with the basics and eager to compete? Let’s get you on the racecourse! This class is designed for sailors looking to sharpen their racing skills and performance. Build confidence in boat handling while focusing on sail trim, speed, tactics, and making smart decisions under pressure.
