Programs are offered for sailors age 7+ and should be chosen based on participant’s previous experience, skill, comfort level, and size.
We are currently offering 7 programs for Summer 2026: Beginner, Beginner for Middle Schoolers, Intermediate, Venture, Opti Race, Intro to 420, and 420 Race.
Director of Sailing: Todd “TC” Cunningham
Our sailing programs are led by an experienced coaching team, under the direction of Todd “TC” Cunningham. A professional sailor and coach with more than 20 years in the marine industry, TC is an ASA Certified Instructor and RYA Senior Instructor, bringing deep experience as a sailmaker and competitive yacht racer. He is known for his approachable teaching style and passion for helping sailors of all ages build confidence and skill on the water.
Every session is led by experienced instructors and supported by safety launches.

Beginner Sail
An introduction to sailing with a focus on upwind sailing.
For youth sailors age 7+ who are competent swimmers and have a willingness to learn.
Want to get your feet wet and give sailing a try? Looking to learn in a safe, fun, supportive environment? This fun program is your intro to the basics of sailing and will provide a strong foundation for future programs. Perfect for first-time sailors, no prior experience necessary!

Beginner Sail for Middle Schoolers
An introduction to sailing with a focus on upwind sailing.
Introduction to sailing for Middle Schoolers excited to learn!
Ready to get out on the water and try sailing? Learn the basics in a fun, safe, and supportive environment designed just for middle schoolers! This program is a great introduction to sailing and builds the skills you’ll need for future classes. Perfect for first-time sailors, no prior experience necessary!

Intermediate Sail
Build on existing skills and learn rigging, docking, and righting a capsized boat.
For sailors who have completed at least 2 weeks of Beginner Sail and can successfully sail upwind alone.
So you’ve completed 2 weeks of Beginner Sail and you’re ready for more? Ready to take your skills to the next level? In this program, you’ll learn more about the boats, how to ready them, and how to operate them!

Venture Sail
With a focus on fun, we will learn basic navigation and build on existing skills while sailing a variety of boats in varied conditions.
For sailors who can successfully sail single-handedly in varied conditions, rig, dock, and right a capsized boat.
Venture into an adventure with us! Venture Sail is your ticket to a lifelong love of sailing. There's no better place than on the water in one of our many boats. This class will enjoy our Optis, Zests, Quests, Lasers, 420's, Rhodes 19's and paddleboards!

Opti Race
Tactics, strategy, and advanced boat handling. A focus on racing skills and option to compete.
For sailors with a desire to race and who have mastered the skills of Intermediate Sail.
You’ve made it to the Opti end-game - congrats! This course will have you calling “starboard” in no time and provide the skills for competitive Opti racing! Advanced Opti sailors will be encouraged to compete in local regattas.

Intro to 420
Learn the basics of boating safety, nomenclature, rigging, sail handling, and steering.
For sailors (105 lbs min) who have mastered the skills of Intermediate Sail OR middle schoolers looking to learn.
Ready to move on from a single sail? Are you considering sailing in high school? Grab a friend and learn the ropes of 420 sailing in this foundation-building program! This program is a great stepping stone from Optis, but also a good place to start for older students ready to learn!

420s are two-person boats and students will be sailing with a partner each day. We strongly encourage students to sign up with a friend.

420 Race
Tactics, strategy, and advanced boat handling. Learn spinnakers and trapezes and use them competitively.
For sailors (105 lbs min) with the desire to race, who have mastered the skills of Intro to 420, and/or have demonstrated two-person boat sailing and racing skills.
Ready to get those stopwatches ready? Interested in bettering your race skills? Time to learn spinnaker and trapeze? Calling all serious sailors to this summer’s 420 race program! Regattas encouraged!
4-week program | 4-hour class | Monday-Friday | $1500
1:00-5:00pm
Session 1: June 22-July 17
Session 2: July 20-August 14
420s are two-person boats and students will be sailing with a partner each day. We strongly encourage students to sign up with a friend.
